Having studied psychology in Austria (Mag.phil.) and conceptual documentary photography in the United States (MFA) I apply photography as a tool for the social exploration of the realities we construct and live in.
When pursuing personal projects, cooperating with NGOs as an advocacy photographer and working on community art projects I carefully navigate the crossroad between the social practices and art.
I also teach photography focussing on conceptual documentary photography, storytelling, bookmaking and darkroom practices.
Besides photography and teaching I work as an experience-based learning facilitator with a focus on personal development, interpersonal communication, team dynamics and leadership.
I am a state certified white water kayaking instructor, swift water rescue technician and certified skipper.
